DIY Christmas Ornament Earrings | Easiest Jewelry to Make

by | Nov 13, 2023 | Crafts

Trying out a new craft can be a little intimidating. How in the world did they make that?? Is a question I ask too. But I’m here to tell you that making DIY earrings out of Christmas ornaments is soooo so easy!

When deciding on which kind of jewelry pieces to make, ornament earrings are by far the easiest. Ornament earrings are very simple to make and only require a few supplies such as, pliers, small holiday themed ornaments, jump rings and French hook earrings. These accessories can be made in minutes and make fantastic gifts for your friends, family, teachers or girlfriend.

Pre-Made Ornament Earrings

This is the easiest and quickest option. So if you’re short on time, or have lots of earrings to make, this version is what you need.

Ornaments typically come in multipacks which makes this DIY great for multiple Christmas gifts or a holiday activity with friends.

Supplies

For this project you don’t have to have the special jewelry plier tool, regular pliers work just fine!

I reached out to our dear friend, Laura, owner of Rugged Rose 307. She’s been making jewelry for over 12 years and has extensive experience with all things jewelry making. She recommended sticking with pliers for this particular project as they are the easiest to work with.

“There are some [pliers] with ridges and some that are smooth. The ones with ridges help grasp the jump rings better so it stays in place to add your charm.”

That’s what I like to hear!

No time for paint to dry??

You could always use a brown Sharpie.

Or add in tiny beads, while foam is still wet, to represent sprinkles!

Gift Option

You guys, this is such a great gift idea for your kid’s teacher, your bestie, or niece’s! Throw in a Starbucks gift card in a super cute mug and you are set!
