End of the Year Gift Ideas
Yay!! It’s the end of a very long, stressful, fun, successful and evolutionary school year. And if you’re like me and Kristin, this is the opportunity to send your favorite teachers off to summer with a bang.
My favorite gift for the end of the year is always summer themed and some form of a basket. Like all gifts, I believe, they should have thought, be useful and practical, and always filled with love (and hopefully fun)!
I put together a list of gift basket ideas that I think you’ll find extremely helpful AND I made you some tags you can download for free! There’s links to everything (some are affiliates, check our disclaimer below, and some are not), pictures to help you visualize, and and a short description of why each option, I think, is great. ALSO, I ran all of these by Kristin, who is, as you know, a teacher. #teacherapproved
Let’s Begin Pre-Made
Not all baskets have to be DIY from scratch… Going with a premade assortment is fabulous when you’re short on time or maybe don’t know your teacher well enough.
I found these teacher gift baskets on Amazon (I also added them to our Gifting List you’re welcome to check out). I know if I were a teacher, I would love getting any of these options! Take a look…
1. Funny Candle, Crown Mug and Socks
I love a little sarcasm with all things shirts, mugs, and yes, candles. This gift set is great because it’s cute, it’s practical, and it’s a little cheeky. Teachers far and wide will appreciate the humor. Click Here
2. Wine Bottle Gift Tote
Ok this one requires an extra step, you do have to get a couple bottles to put in here. BUT! What an adorable gift for your wine loving teacher! There’s 13 different patterns to choose from – great if you have a male or female teacher. Also, you can add a bottle of whatever you want. Wine is a great suggestion but if you know your teacher loves her Mimosas or Sweet Tea, then this traveler cooler bag is perfect!! Click Here
3. Sunscreen Travel Kit
Get your teachers beach side ready! It’s summer and they’re ready to go relax in the sun – gifting them with this eco-friendly sunscreen will be so appreciated and perfect for them to grab and go right after the last bell rings. I like this idea better than say, a spa themed kit, for a couple reasons. One: Unless you know for sure what fragrance your teacher loves, smells can be tricky. Two: I love that sunscreen holds onto that summer theme. Always looking to cheer on summer vacay! Click Here

4. BEST END OF SCHOOL YEAR DIY TEACHER GIFT IDEA from Modern Mom Life.
Michelle Hancock breaks down everything you need (a huge list to help you customize your gift) to put these adorable beverage dispensers to their best use! Filled to the brim with items your teacher will love, use, and probably needs. (Like the bug spray if you live in the south). She even includes printable tags!! Click Here
5. POOL DAY ACCESSORIES by Sunny Side Up
A few years ago I made these for a handful of teachers and it was a huge hit! I got the idea from Erin at Sunny Side Up. All you have to do is wrap up a beach towel with a great magazine and add a little extra something with it. Erin’s post uses the sunscreen idea (fabulous and useful like we talked about above). For mine, I went with a Kind bar and fun cup. No matter what you choose, this idea wins every time! You can check out the entire post for an entire list of cute ideas and printable gift tags. 6. SUMMER S’MORES KIT by Coffee and Confetti Mom
I love love love this idea that I found on Trina Hopkin’s blog. Everyone can enjoy some time sitting around a campfire roasting marshmallows and making s’mores with your favorite people. Who deserves that time more than our favorite teachers?! This blog post goes on to share a number of other great gift basket ideas that any teacher would “swoon” over. Click Here
“C” is for Custom
I love a custom gift! Nothing says thought and appreciation like a gift with their initials, last name, or best ever, a tag line that describes them to a “T”.
So here’s a list of my favorite ideas and previous purchases to get those creative juices flowin’…
7. Initial Canvas Tote Bag
Teachers especially can never have enough tote bags and this one is so stinkin’ cute! Fill it with those beach towels and sunscreen we talked about!! I promise it’ll be loved, appreciated and USED. Click Here
8. Custom Celebrity Photo
You guys, I can’t even! I found this a couple weeks ago and I’m obsessed. You can take a photo of your favorite teacher and have him or her digitally drawn into a portrait with their favorite celebrity!! What’s great about this idea is that, not only is it super unique and fun, but it’s quick! You get your proof within 48 hours and all you have to do is get it printed off at your local photo printer (like Walgreens, CVS or Walmart). It’s brilliant and you should totally do this! Click Here
9. Stationary
This is an idea that Kristin talked about last year – that’s how I know it’s a great suggestion! Custom stationary is incredibly thoughtful and helpful. Teachers write notes all the time and finding them a fun paper to brighten their day will be greatly treasured. Tie on some great pens with cute ribbon and your in! Click Here

How do you feel about gift cards? I have lots of teacher friends (like a lot) and they are all unanimous – Gift cards are always appreciated! It’s the oppurtunity for them to order whatever they want or need. For the classroom, for their upcoming vacation, that new dress they’ve been eyeing but can’t justify. Yesss!! All the gift cards all day long and here are their top picks:
